Indoor Tennis & Padel Satellite Facility – Project Update
Following the recent member vote, which saw over 96% vote in favour of proceeding with the proposed indoor facility at Kingsley Fields, Sandy Lane, the Management Committee has agreed to move forward with the project.
We are now progressing preparations for a Full Planning Permission application.
The proposed facility, located approximately two miles from our main Club site, will be developed on a 99-year lease and include:
- 4 indoor tennis courts (one with pickleball markings)
- 4 indoor padel courts
- Changing facilities, lounge/recreation area, office and storage
- Parking for 32+ cars
- Automated access, with proposed opening hours of 6am–10pm
- A combination of member access and limited pay-and-play opportunities
Funding will come from a combination of LLTSC investment, member loans and a 15-year LTA loan of just over £1 million, now subject to 5% interest.
Next Steps & Timeline
Our immediate focus is progressing the planning application and finalising funding arrangements. Subject to planning approval, finance and construction timescales, we are targeting an opening in late 2027 or during 2028.
This represents an exciting opportunity to significantly expand the Club’s facilities and provide year-round indoor racket sports for members and the wider community.
