Court Availability

Courts are in high demand between weekday hours of 4.30pm-9.00pm, so it is unlikely you will get a court at short notice – unless somebody cancels.

Whilst some courts are used for coaching or team matches during these peak times, we always make sure to leave at least 2 courts free at any given time for members to book. It’s also important to remember that whilst the coaching and team courts aren’t bookable for conventional match play, they are still being used by members of the club – we’re just meeting the needs and demands of players in slightly different way.

To help you get the most out of your squash membership, here’s a few ideas on how to approach booking a court:

Try and plan ahead
Courts are released either one or two weeks in advance, so you’re more likely to get the times you want if you plan ahead.

Consider playing at other times
If you are free during weekday daytime or weekend afternoons/evenings, you are almost certain to get a court (even at short notice).

Join the Squash WhatsApp Group
To avoid incurring the full lights fee (charged if a squash court is cancelled within 72 hours), members often put cancellation notifications on the squash WhatsApp group, giving you the chance to snap up these courts for yourself.

Don’t leave your box ladder matches to the last minute
Try and set up a WhatsApp group straight away, spread the games out across the six-week period and try to play off-peak where possible.

Squash courts are released 1 or 2 weeks ahead to allow you to book your game in advance. The release times are as follows:
