150 Years – Events

Sunday 12 May
American Doubles Tennis Tournament
Open to players of all ability, everyone is welcome to join this sociable mix-in with quick fire games. The format is round robin mixed doubles competition in which participants are initially paired at random and each match is timed. The tournament is very similar to the annual event that opened every season of tennis on the grass in years gone by and promises to be lots of fun.

Information about signing up will be sent out nearer the time and we will be presenting the Arthur Wellesley Tomkins trophy to the winning pair.  This trophy is in memory of one of the founding fathers of the club.

Saturday 8 June
Family Fun Day
Everyone is welcome to this event where there will be lots of activities, food, music and entertainment. You can choose from a selection of savoury options (£11 per person, MUST BE BOOKED IN ADVANCE) or you just come along to join in the activities and bring your own food for FREE. Whether you require food or not, you will need a ticket – please click on the link below.  The bar will be open and there will also be a cake stall and ice cream van to buy food on the day.

DEADLINE TO ORDER FOOD – FRIDAY 17 MAY.

Sunday 7 July

We are digging out the wooden rackets and dressing in whites to have some fun. There will be the chance for everyone to have a go with a wooden racket and join in a fun-tournament. There may even be some croquet and afternoon tea. Sign-up info to follow.
